Hisar: A 60-year-old retired BSF sub-inspector was stabbed to death on Sunday evening after he tried to intervene in a scuffle involving three youths in Sector 9-11.
The victim, Kalam Singh of Ladwa village, was currently working as a property dealer along with his son.

Police said the three youths, allegedly drunk, were assaulting another man when Singh stepped in to pacify them. Instead of backing off, the attackers turned on him and assaulted him with a sharp-edged weapon.
Eyewitnesses said he was stabbed multiple times in the neck and chest. As people began gathering, two of the accused fled on a motorcycle. Locals rushed Singh to a private hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Police said the suspects had come from the fish market area of the industrial zone before the attack. Teams from the Urban Estate police station and the CIA unit launched a probe soon after the incident.
Later, police detained one suspect for questioning and said raids were underway to nab the remaining accused.
