Chandigarh: Reinforcing its academic prowess, the Tricity has produced multiple national toppers in the CBSE Class X examinations, results of which were declared on Wednesday, with several students securing a perfect 100% score.Rather than a single standout, this year's results reveal a cluster of perfect scorers from the region, highlighting how closely packed the top end of the score spectrum has become. With multiple students achieving flawless aggregates, the margins at the highest level appear to be narrowing, where consistency across subjects—rather than dominance in just one—has emerged as the decisive factor.Those who scored 100% include Saanvi Walia of St Anne's Convent School, Sector 32; Aman Garg of St Joseph Senior Secondary School, Sector 44; Aryaman Mittal of St John's High School, Sector 26; and Jaskirat Singh of St Anne's School, Sector 32. DPS's Anaya Jaryal scored a near-perfect 499/500.School officials attributed this clustering at the top to consistent preparation and familiarity with CBSE's marking pattern, enabling students to maximise scores across subjects. Students, meanwhile, cited routine-based study habits rather than last-minute preparation as a key factor behind their performance. The presence of multiple 100% scorers has also revived discussions around how percentages are computed in CBSE results, with aggregates often calculated differently by institutions based on their own criteria. At the national level, CBSE reported a Class X pass percentage of 93.70%, a marginal rise from 93.66% last year, pointing to largely stable performance trends overall.
