Opposition parties neglected Jind for long, claims CM
Jind: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday said that Opposition parties have only one agenda, that is to take votes and exploit people. He alleged that they made false promises to the people of this region and kept it backward instead of focusing on development. The chief minister was addressing a thanksgiving and Vikash Rally held in Jind on Sunday. Haryana deputy speaker Krishan Kumar Middha, the rally convener, warmly welcomed him. Addressing the gathering, the chief minister said that the land of Jind represents a blend of hard work and progress. He described it as the heartbeat of Haryana, where the sweat of farmers enriches the nation's food reserves. He extended greetings to elders, women and youth present at the rally.Targeting opposition parties, he said Jind was neglected for a long time. "False promises were made, and votes were harvested over generations, but no real development was carried out," CM Saini said. He said that being elected for a third consecutive term is a big responsibility. "It reminds the govt to work with greater dedication and fulfil every promise made to the people. Out of 217 promises in the election manifesto, 60 have already been fulfilled within one and a half years, while work is ongoing on the remaining 157," he added. The chief minister also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Viksit Bharat 2047," calling it not just a goal but a mass movement requiring participation from every citizen. He added that the govt follows the principle of "Nation First" and stands with citizens in every crisis. He also mentioned that despite global increases in oil prices, relief was provided by reducing excise duty on petroleum products, and strict measures are being taken to prevent black marketing. Rs 2,217 crore spent on Jind's development The chief minister said that the govt has implemented the mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" on the ground. He highlighted that 36,000 youth were given govt jobs in the past year without recommendations or bribes. In total, 1.8 lakh jobs have been provided over the last 11.5 years, including around 15,000 youths from Jind. Currently, recruitment for 13,500 new jobs is ongoing.
