Newly-wed man among 3 killed in accident

JALANDHAR: A newly married man, his mother and aunt died in a collision that took place between their car and a truck on the Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur road near Jandu Singha on Friday night.
Sunny Gupta (25), who got married on December 14 had visitede a shrine near Talwara to pay obeisance on Friday with his wife and other family members. When they were returning on Friday, late evening their car had head-on collision with a truck.While Sunny and his aunt Neelam Gupta died on the spot, his mother Madhu Gupta was seriously injured along with two others. Madhu also succumbed to her injuries on Saturday morning.
Sunny's father Ashok Gupta has a jewelry shop in Attari Bazaar. He and Sunny's wife Nidhi Gupta sustained injuries and are hospitalized. tnn
