Bathinda: The Moga police have arrested 2 persons and recovered 5 illegal weapons with ammunition during an operation. The preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused, Lakhwinder Singh, is working at the behest of a Pakistan-based handler. An FIR under the Arms Act has been registered at PS City Moga. According to sources, a team of CIA was on duty behind the Kotkapura bypass flyover and received a tip that 2 persons with weapons were spotted on the Moga-Jalandhar highway, near Delhi Colony. The police party reached the place and arrested the duo, identified as Lakhwinder Singh (20) and Nishan Singh (32). The police recovered 5 weapons from their possession, which included 3 pistols (.30 bore) with 3 magazines, 1 pistol (.32 bore) with 1 magazine, and one 9 mm Glock pistol with 2 magazines. Bathinda: Bathinda Police recovered 9 weapons after arresting a man from Rajgarh Kubbe village in Bathinda. Out of the 9 weapons, 8 are country-made pistols of .32 bore), and 1 of .30 bore).
The arrested man was identified as Maninder Singh from Rajgarh Kubbe.
