Minister Barinder Goyal inaugurates road projects worth Rs 13.2 cr in Lehra Gaga
Patiala: Cabinet minister Barinder Kumar Goyal on Saturday laid foundation stones and inaugurated road revamping projects in several villages of the Lehra Gaga constituency in Sangrur district, with works estimated at around Rs 13.27 crore.Addressing the gathering, he said the Punjab govt was committed to strengthening rural infrastructure and improving transportation facilities to ensure better connectivity and development in villages.

He said renovation and strengthening of roads would not only make travel more convenient for villagers but would also give a fresh boost to agricultural and commercial activities.He said the 7.4-km road project from Jhaloor village to Ghorenab to Khandebad would be completed at an estimated cost of around Rs 5.83 crore. Additionally, the 4.8-km road from Bakhora Kalan village to Ballran would be constructed at a cost of Rs 3.78 crore.Similarly, Rs 1.45 crore would be spent on the 1.85-km road from Chotian village to Bakshiwala, while the 2.8-km road from Lehal Kalan village to Papra would be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.21 crore.The minister said the concerned departments were directed to complete all these projects within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with high-quality standards.
He emphasised that no compromise would be tolerated regarding the quality of work.He added that the govt's objective was to equip villages with urban-like amenities so that people from every section of society could benefit from development.
