​Men go for special gifts for their wives

CHANDIGARH: As women prepare for Karva Chauth, their husbands are busy choosing that special gift that will delight them on the festival.
Kunal Malhotra, a resident of Sector 49, wants his wife to look her best on the day. “My wife loves getting pampered. And so, I have decided to gift her a spa session. It will include aroma therapy, body massage, manicure, pedicure and hair cut with a special hair do.She will look prettier on the day,” he says.
There are some who plan a romantic outing. Prashant Utreja, a resident of Sector 9, Panchkula, says, “We are going to Kerala for two days. I have planned a candlelight dinner on a boat to make her feel special.”
And there are others who swear by “women’s best friend”. Alok Sharma of Sector 2, Panchkula, says, “I will gift a diamond-studded purse to my wife. She loves diamonds and the gift will surely make her day.”
A few husbands plan to keep their wives well-occupied, so that fasting does not give them a tough time. Anuj Saini of Sector 10, Panchkula, says, “We will watch a movie in the morning and go for shopping in the evening. This will please her. I will also gift her a diamond set.”
