Man held for sexually assaulting minor in Sonipat

Sonipat: Police have arrested a man for allegedly abducting and sexually assaulting a minor schoolgirl in Kharkhoda area.The girl had left for school on April 22, but did not return home. Her family later found she had not attended classes and alerted police, who registered a case and launched a search.The survivor was traced and rescued, and her statement was recorded before a magistrate. Based on her account, charges under the POCSO Act and SC/ST Act were added.The accused, Naveen of Sainipura village, has been sent to judicial custody. Further investigation is underway.
