Land, property auctions fetch Gmada ₹2.5Kcr

Mohali: The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (Gmada) earned a whopping Rs 2,505.45 crore out of the total Rs 2,945.71 crore earned by the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) through various e-auctions in the state that concluded on Tuesday.Officials said Gmada alone in Mohali district earned Rs 2,505.45 crore by receiving bids from two commercial chunks of Sector-62; one chunk each situated in Eco City-1 and Aerocity; three group housing sites located in Sector-66, Ecocity-2 and Medicity; besides 16 SCOs and 12 booths situated in different sectors of Mohali. Besides, PUDA also auctioned 162 OUVGL (optimum utilisation of vacant government land) properties of PUDA in Mohali.

E-khata mandatory for all Bangalore Development Authority properties now

Effective September 13, all properties under Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) must transition to the e-khata system, eliminating paper-based khatas. This move seeks to enhance transparency in property dealings and curb fraudulent activities. Property owners can apply through the Karnataka Seva Sindhu portal, ensuring legal verification and unique identification for each property.
