Karnal girl wins gold medal in Taekwondo Championship

KARNAL: Rishita Dang, a resident of Karnal, won gold medal in 35th Haryana State Senior Boys and Girls Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship and 15th Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2023.
The championship was held at RTC North Zone, Ambala Cantt, Haryana between 23 to 24 July.
Rishita, who is a student of BA 1st year (Media and Public Affairs) of Christ University, Ghaziabad, won the medal in the under 67kg Girls Category.
Whereas, Silver Medal was won by Lovely Kapoor from Ambala and Bronze Medal went to Simran from Ambala and Harshita from Palwal.
On this occasion Jasbir Singh Gill, General Secretary, Haryana State Taekwondo Association congratulated all the medallists and participants.
Rishita’s father A K Dang, who is Principal Scientist in National Dairy Research Institute Karnal, informed that she has already won gold medal in 39th Junior Kyorugi and 12th National Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2022-23 held at Visakhapatnam and two CBSE National Gold Medals at Taekwondo games held at Balrampur (2019) and at Ghaziabad (2023).
