Judicial remand for Mehron in influencer murder case

Bathinda: A local court sent Amritpal Singh Mehron, the main accused in the killing of social media influencer Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, to judicial custody at the end of his five-day police remand on Wednesday.Kamal Kaur Bhabhi was murdered in the early hours of June 9, 2025. Her body was recovered from her car in the parking lot of Adesh University near Bathinda on June 11. While police arrested three associates, Jaspreet Singh, Nimrat Jeet Singh and Ranjit Singh, Mehron remained absconding for 10 months. Bathinda Police, with the support of Overseas Fugitive Tracking and Extradition Cell under the counter-intelligence wing of Punjab Police and central agencies, apprehended the fugitive upon his landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on April 10 following his extradition from the UAE.
