Jat quota stir: Ex-sarpanch, 13 acquitted

Hisar: The court of chief judicial magistrate, Shifa, on Monday acquitted 14, including former sarpanch of Dhiranwas village, Teluram, in a case of jamming the bus stand at Dhiranwas during the jat reservation agitation. Three accused died during the pendency of the case.
Besides Teluram, those who got relief from court include Patel, Surendra Arya, Ramchandra, Kuldeep, Jitendra, Kaliram, Mahendra, Kana alias Kala alias Randhir, Sonu alias Seelu, Nafe Singh, Amarjeet, Dharambir (all residents of Dhiranwas) and Pawan (of Rawalwas Khurd village). On February 20, 2016, a case was registered at Sadar Police Station on the complaint of ASI Kapoor Singh, who said he went to Dhiranwas from Bhiwani Rohilla village, where he was on duty, on hearing about 20-22 youths of Dhiranwas and Rawalwas Khurd blocking the Balsamand road at the village bus stand. At the spot, he saw that Surendra, Dharambir, Nafe, Amarjeet, Mahendra, Pawan and 10-12 other people had parked a car on the road and thrown bushes, bricks and stones to disrupt vehicular movement.
