CHANDIGARH: All good things come to an end and sadly they did for the decade-long Harry Potter franchise. With final movie out in city cinemas, 'all waiting and anticipation was worth it' say city fans. Thousands packed theatres, eager to see the closing moments of the Harry Potter saga. The massively eventful finale griped fans completely with its remarkable special effects and excellent acting.
With HP frenzy, fans booked tickets in advance to see the first day first show. Jatinder Singh, manager cinema operations in a city-based multiplex said, "All tickets were sold out early morning, shows are going houseful and half of the tickets have been booked for Saturday and Sunday. People are eager to watch movie in 3D." "The movie is entertaining, and the final battle between Voldemort and Harry keeps you glued. But as it was short and lacked minute details of JK Rowling's last book. The death of Voldemort came a bit early. It could have been stretched a bit and made more captivating," said Neeraj Gupta, a resident of Panchkula.
Another devoted follower Harry and a student of DAV College, Sector 10, Nupur Gupta said, "The movie matched my expectations and thankfully the plot followed the book plot line more closely this time. The movie was definitely worth the wait." Expectations were high with the last movie in the row and it was difficult to hold up to Harry Potter sagas reputation.
The movie was just 2 hours 10 minutes long, making makers skip some details that the book provided. For those who had not read the boo, it was perfect and could not have been better. Chetan Arora, a resident of Manimajra said, "I have not read the book and for me watching the movie without knowing what will happen next is a thrilling experience. The masterful tale of wizards and warlocks, could?t have ended better.?? Karthik Sharma, a student of Chitkara University, Rajpura, said, "The visual depiction of the movie was bang on the target."
