PANCHKULA: A day after a priest was allegedly thrashed by officials of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board (SMMDSB), deputy commissioner and chief administrator of the board Pankaj Yadav marked an inquiry to SDM Rajpal Singh on Monday.
A local court has granted bail to board SDO MS Malik in this regard. The board officials along with temple priests met DC Pankaj Yadav and presented the facts to him.
Yadav said a probe had been marked and the SDO had been relieved and sent back to the Haryana Marketing Board.

He said other priests had also been directed not to take prasad outside the temple premises.
It may be recalled that shrine board CEO DP Dattana and SDO MS Malik allegedly beat up priest Inderjit Shastri for carrying prasad outside the temple premises on Sunday, during which his shoulder was also fractured.
Following this, the priests shut down the door of the temple and raised slogans against the board officials. Later, acting on their complaint, the police had booked the board CEO and SDO.
