HPSC exams: Saini justifies selection of non-Hry candidates
Chandigarh: With eyes on projecting the party's image and further strengthening the party's foundation in neighbouring Punjab, Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday shared the achievements of budget announcements made last year.During the briefing, Saini justified the selection of non-Haryana domiciled candidates in recruitments conducted by HPSC and HSSC. "So far as recruitment of outsiders is concerned, we have many examples where Haryana domiciled candidates were successful in cracking recruitment tests and drives in other states. Hence, there is no such issue. We already shared incidents of Punjab as to how the govt targets those who organise our programmes. But one thing is for sure: I shall continue to visit there, as people want Modi ji there," said Saini.
Saini was accompanied by chief principal secretary Rajesh Khullar and the CMO team. Referring to achievements, Saini claimed that of the total 217 commitments made ahead of the Assembly elections 2024, the govt has fulfilled 60 commitments in total, while work was in progress on 120 announcements. To recount a few immediate moves, Saini elaborated on how joining letters of 25,573 candidates were issued ahead of taking oath, and how free dialysis was announced in hospitals. On budget-related announcements, he said that in the year 2025-26, a total of 248 announcements were made, out of which 77 budget announcements were completed. He said that in the year 2025-26, the state's GDP increased at the rate of 12.67 percent compared to the year 2024-25. Saini said Haryana's per capita income is among the top 5 states in the country, and that in the last 10 years, the state's per capita income increased by approximately 2.5 times. He said the actual expenditure on the economy during their time was approximately 3 times the actual expenditure during the opposition's time. "We are elaborating on the figures and comparing the same with the year 2004 to 2014, when Congress headed the govt. This clearly shows that Congress and its leaders are simply propagating their Jhooth Ki Dukaan. They simply utter what suits them, without verifying the facts," said Saini. "So is the case of the AAP-led Punjab govt as well. There, the Punjab CM and their party head make contradictory statements.""People of Punjab are looking at BJP as well as Modi ji as the only alternative for progress, prosperity and growth. We already did it in New Delhi and Haryana. Now Punjab and West Bengal are next," said Saini. While intensifying the attack on Congress leaders over fiscal health, Saini asserted that, as per the recommendation of the 16th Finance Commission, Haryana's share in central taxes increased to 1.361 percent, representing an increase of 24.52 percent compared to the 15th Finance Commission. He said that in the year 2024-25, there was an increase of approximately 52,376 crore rupees in the state revenue. He said the Industry Labour Friendship Council was formed to maintain cooperation and coordination between industry and labour.Saini said that during the period 2015-25, more than 20 lakh MSME registrations were done on Udyam and the Udyam Registration Portal. He said that between April 2024 and March 2025, Haryana's total exports were 19.10 billion US dollars. MSID:: 128464615 413 |
