HP govt orders release of pending dues for retired Class-IV staff

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh govt has ordered immediate release of the remaining 30% of gratuity and leave encashment of those former Class-IV employees who retired or died in harness between Jan 1, 2016, and Jan 31, 2022.The state govt has already paid four instalments of interim relief and 12 of dearness allowance on the basic pension and basic family pension during the period. It will be adjusted against the pension or family pension arrears. The govt press statement mentions that pension disbursing authorities concerned had been asked to ensure that after the release of this amount, the gratuity and leave encashment arrears of such Class-IV employees should be zero.
