PANCHKULA: Because of social-distancing rule during Covid-19 pandemic, the Haryana Ayush department is conducting all practice for the coming
International Yoga Day online.
Anyone keen to learn yoga can join the 45-minute session at 6am by switching on the computer at home. Ayush (Ayurveda, Yoga and naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy) department director general Atul Kumar said 2020's Yoga Day will be focused on building immunity.

District ayurveda officer Dr Dalip Kumar Mishra said the practice will go on till the June 21 event. Participants will try Kapalabhati, Anulom Vilom, Bhramari Pranayam, Sheetali Pranayam, Om Uchcharan, Mantra Uchcharan, Tadasan, Ardhchakrasan, and Trikonasan among other poses and breathing techniques.
Yoga expert Ritu Mittal will hold the online class and yoga teacher Anjali Kaushik will deliver a talk at Pyramid Hall in Sector 3 about boosting immunity to fight Covid-19.
Yoga teacher Pradeep Kumar will guide the practice group that comes to the hall. The group will follow social distancing, mask, and hand-wash rules. A team will guide visitors about a balanced diet for a healthy lifestyle.
From 7 to 7.40 every morning, Ritu Mittal also gives yoga instruction to civil hospital's Covid-19 patients to boost their immunity for quicker recovery. District ayurveda officer Dr Dalip Kumar Mishra said: "We want to teach yoga to a maximum number of people for their health and immunity."
This year, the administration also plans to organise International Yoga Day even online.
