Hoax bomb threat emails spark panic in Barnala schools

Bathinda: Half a dozen schools in Barnala received bomb threat emails on Thursday morning, triggering evacuations.Three prominent private schools received the threatening emails at 7:45 am, while the remaining schools got them at 8:03 am. Barnala deputy commissioner Harpreet Singh and senior superintendent of police (SSP) Sarfaraz Alam arrived at the sites to supervise anti-sabotage operations. SSP Alam told TOI that no incriminating or suspicious material was found during the searches.
