Hisar Airport to be named after Maharaja Agrasen

Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday announced that the state’s first

civil airport

at Hisar would be named after

Maharaja Agrasen

. The chief minister said the decision is his government’s tribute to Maharaja Agrasen.

Describing the Hisar airport as a huge project, Khattar said his government was taking consistent steps to develop it as an international airport. The integrated aviation hub in Hisar will not only play a pivotal role in revolutionising Haryana’s civil aviation sector but would also ensure immense possibilities of employment in fields such as air training, air handling and repair, he added.
