Chandigarh: As part of ongoing celebration of Sewa Pakhwada in support of Ayushman Bhava drive from September 17 to October 2, Ayush Health and Wellness Center (AHWC), Sector 24, Chandigarh organised Ayushman Health Mela on Tuesday. The event was inaugurated by chief guest, Akhil Kumar, director, Ayush. “The mela was organised to optimise uptake of services, provide platform to people to express issues about healthcare services and augment behaviour change,” said an official. tnn

Ayushman Bhava will help achieve universal health coverage

President Droupadi Murmu launched the Ayushman Bhava campaign, a nationwide healthcare initiative aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare services to every village and town in India. The campaign focuses on achieving universal health coverage and ensuring accessibility and affordability of healthcare services, particularly for the underserved. The President emphasized the importance of a multi-ministerial approach and cooperation from all stakeholders to achieve this goal. The campaign will be implemented during the Seva Pakhwada from September 17 to October 2, involving collaboration between village panchayats, government departments, and local bodies.

Manas approved for Ayushman Bharat services

Manas Institute of Mental health and Neurosciences in Hubballi, Karnataka has received approval to provide treatment for Ayushman Bharat card holders. The hospital, which has been operating for 42 years, specializes in psychiatric treatment and alcohol addiction. Patients from various cities and even countries visit the hospital for treatment. Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, patients can avail treatment by presenting their Aadhaar card and reference letter. This development aligns with the Punjab government's campaign to expand coverage under the Ayushman Bharat scheme and the efforts of the Gautam Buddh Nagar district health department in Uttar Pradesh to register new beneficiaries.

Krishi Mela 2023 concludes

The four-day Krishi Mela 2023 organized by the University of Agricultural Sciences in Dharwad concluded with around 11 lakh people participating in the event. The mela focused on promoting millets for sustainable agriculture. The event showcased new crop breeds, terrace gardening, rainwater harvesting, and introduced new farm equipment. Farmers from various states including Goa, Punjab, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh participated in the event. The mela also featured exhibitions on horticulture, animal husbandry, and home science technologies. The seed mela, which was part of the event, sold 825 quintals of rabi seeds.
