Police registered a case against a head constable for allegedly raping a 36-year-old nurse in Hansi town of Hisar district.

HISAR: Police registered a case against a head constable for allegedly raping a 36-year-old nurse in Hansi town of Hisar district. The accused, identified as Devender, was recently posted with Rohtak police.
The nurse, who is posted in Hansi area of the district, approached the police station on Monday. Police also booked Devender's wife Kusum for criminal conspiracy.

Assistant superintendent of police, Hansi, Rahul Sharma, said, "The head constable and his wife were booked under various sections of IPC and he was arrested by police. Rape was confirmed after medical examination."
According to the complaint, the victim alleged that Kusum, wife of Devender, residing in Uttam Nagar area of Hansi, called her for tea on Sunday evening. "After consuming tea I fell unconscious as the drink was mixed with some intoxicant, following which the accused raped me," the victim stated in her complaint.
The victim also alleged that the accused threatened her and her family of dire consequences for revealing the matter.
