HISAR: Students of Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) have started a dharna outside the vice-chancellor’s office on Thursday night accusing the chief security officer of the university of allegedly misbehaving with the students under the influence of alcohol.
It is alleged that the students used a word “sukhkhi” in a Haryanvi skit presented during the fresher's party of the agriculture college and chief security officer Sukhbir Singh edconsider this comment upon him and reportedly misbehaved with the students under the influence of alcohol. The students on dharna have demanded that the chief security officer should apologize for his behaviour.
The students present on the dharna site said there was a fresher party in the college on Wednesday, in which the dean, director and senior officers of the college were present, apart from the vice chancellor. During this, a Haryanvi skit approved by the university administration was presented in which the word “sukhkhi” was used that the chief security officer Sukhvir Singh thought it was a comment on him, the students said.
