BATHINDA: Noted singer Sidhu Moosewala always projected him to be son of a farmer and was more at ease while driving tractors than travelling in upscale cushy SUVs. The

was his favorite which figured in his songs though Sidhu also used to speak about Eicher tractor Asha in local parlance.

Sidhu Moosewala was from amongst the first singers to lend support to the farmers' struggle against farm laws then even not turned into laws and were in the state of bills. He had started participating in protests at Mansa and even later participated in protests at the borders of Delhi.


He used to say that being son of farmer it is his duty to stand by them when the farmers are in distress and the Union government had come out with the bills.

Sidhu Moosewala had asked his followers to oppose the agricultural bills and had joined the league of noted singers

While listing support for the cause of farmers, Moosewala used to talk about 5911 while calling it an inseparable part of his life. Even during the Punjab assembly elections he used to talk about the tractors saying every farmer loves his tractors.
