ED raids realty firms in Tricity, scans financial trail
Mohali: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations linked to two builders across Chandigarh and Mohali in a suspected financial irregularities probe.
Sources said searches were carried out at five to six premises by joint teams from the ED’s Chandigarh and Delhi units. Officials reached the sites early in the day and continued operations for several hours.
During the raids, the agency examined financial records, property transaction documents and digital devices linked to the firms and associated individuals. Investigators are learnt to be scrutinising suspected discrepancies in property dealings and related transactions.
Security was tightened at the premises, with entry and movement restricted during the searches to ensure smooth conduct of the operation.
The ED has not issued an official statement on the nature of the case or recoveries so far. Officials indicated the investigation is ongoing, with further details likely after analysis of seized documents and digital evidence.
