DSP sent to Faridkot police lines for misbehaving

KOTKAPURA, Faridkot: The Kotkapura deputy superintendent of police Kashmir Singh Bhinder has been sent to police lines for misbehaving with some media persons in front of a polling booth here on Monday. The senior superintendent of police also admonished the DSP for this attitude.

KOTKAPURA, Faridkot: The Kotkapura deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Kashmir Singh Bhinder has been sent to police lines for misbehaving with some media persons in front of a polling booth here on Monday. The senior superintendent of police also admonished the DSP for this attitude.
The DSP allegedly stopped some TV reporters to cover the poll process in polling booth No.

14 at Kotkapura. He even refused to recognize the identity cards issued by the Chief Election Commission of India and used derogatory language against the authority of the CEC.
Following strong protest by the media persons of the area and a written complaint to the returning officer cum deputy commissioner of Faridkot, the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Kulchhinder Singh visited Kotkapura and the DSP was immediately sent to the police lines.
Not satisfied with the action taken against the DSP, the media persons have sent a complaint to the CEC for strict action against the DSP.
The DSP Bhinder is already involved in several controversies. Earlier during his stint as Kotkapura DSP about three years ago he was indicted for brutally beating up some innocent residents of Rori Kapura village. He was transferred at that time as punishment.
