Jalandhar: The theatre segment of the 6th edition of K L Saigal Punjabi Rang Utsav '26 enthralled audiences with a diverse lineup of six plays staged by theatre groups from New Delhi, Chandigarh, Patiala and Amritsar.
Organised by YUVAA Theatre in collaboration with the K L Saigal Memorial Trust, the festival concluded with the presentation of YUVAA Theatre's latest production, Moh Di Tand, directed by Dr Ankur Sharma.
According to the organisers, the festival recorded its highest footfall yet. Festival curator Ankur Sharma said the event was conceived to bridge a "cultural void" in Jalandhar by bringing quality Punjabi theatre directly to local audiences.
Dedicated to the memory of legendary singer and actor K L Saigal, the annual festival has steadily built a loyal following over the years. "This is what truly enriches a city," Sharma said, reflecting on the growing cultural resonance of the event.
