Depressed man ends life, 3 booked

Government Railway Police

(GRP) have booked three persons for allegedly instigating a 26-year-old man to commit

suicide

in

Ambala

on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kumar alias Sunny, a resident of Manmohan Nagar. The

GRP

said Sunil had allegedly jumped in front of a train on Monday morning and ended his life.

According to information, Sunil had been living with his brother Rajesh’s sister-in-law Sonia, in a live-in relationship from the past two years. Sunny had even fought with Sonia’s family to live with her and had taken a house on rent in Sector 10.

The mother of the deceased,

Nirmala Devi

, said Sonia,who was a mother of two children, and had been living with Sunil for the past two years. She had left behind her in-laws, children and her husband behind. However, on December 14, both of them indulged in a verbal spat. Sonia after the quarrel decided to move back with her husband

Kunal

, following which Sunny started to go in depression.

The mother of the deceased has accused Sonia, her husband Kunal and his friend Ved Prakash for instigating her son to commit suicide. Nirmala Devi submitted a complaint with the GRP, following which a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered against the three.

Ambala City’s GRP police post in-charge Vilayati Ram said, “On December 14, Sonia and the deceased had some quarrel, following which she went back to her husband Kunal. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The accused would be nabbed soon,” he added.
