Chd Cong takes out ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’

Chandigarh: Members of the Chandigarh Congress gathered at Krishna market in Sector 41 and took out the Bharat Jodo Yatra from there. The yatra was started under the leadership of H S Lucky, president and Bhupinder Singh Badheri, vice-president of Chandigarh Pradesh Congress. A few office-bearers of the market association also joined the yatra, which was organised by municipal councillor Jasbir Bunty and other local Congress leaders.Party workers expressed concern about increasing unemployment and under-employment. They said that businesses had suffered due to the “shortsighted policies” of the Union government led by PM Narendra Modi. Congress leaders Harphool Kayan, Jatinder Bhatia, G S Kamboj, Achhey Lal Gaur, Kamlesh Banarsi Das, Ravi Thakur, Parveen Narang, Saroj Sharma and Ahmed Ali addressed people and stressed the need to preserve unity of the country. tnn
