Central University of Punjab signs MoU with Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University

BATHINDA: Central University of Punjab, Bathinda(CUPB) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding with Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University(MRSPTU), Bathinda for making collective efforts to raise the bar of higher education in Malwa Region. The MoU was signed by Prof. Jagdeep Singh, Registrar CUPB and Prof. Jasbir Singh Hundal, Registrar MRSPTU in the presence of Prof RK Kohli, Vice Chancellor CUPB and Prof. MPS Isher, Vice Chancellor MRSPTUB.

CUPB VC RK Kohli said this exercise will facilitate both the universities move jointly on academic, teaching, training and research fronts especially in the arena of Engineering, Humanities, Management, Basic and Applied Science, Mathematics, Languages, Computer Applications and Social Sciences. The purpose of this MoU is to support each other’s endeavours in delivery of academic programmes and research activities through various steps. Prof. Isher highlighting the distinguishing features of the document said that both the institutions intend to exchange scientific and technical information, undertake collaborative research activities in nationally and internationally funded projects, offering of joint courses and so on. He further said that the MoU will also serve the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyaan and Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan of Ministry of Human Resources Development through inspiring and motivating young minds for research and innovations.

It was stated that during the period of MoU, the universities will do their best to contribute in building intellectual capital through research, innovation and scholastic ideas.
