Car seized for illegal display by dealer

CHANDIGARH: Municipal corporation on Saturday seized a new model of Tata Aria car, which was displayed by the car agency in the inner market of Sector 9 for promotion of the vehicle.
According to MC, the car was being displayed without permission. Besides this, the authorities also seized half-a-dozen vehicles which were dumped in Manimajra.
Inspector Kashmira Singh, in-charge of enforcement wing of Chandigarh municipal corporation, while talking to TOI said, “A new model car was being displayed for the promotion of Speed Motor Agency in Industrial Area, without permission.The agency was announcing a scheme for the promotion of the car.”
In Manimajra, the enforcement team seized 6 vehicles from the motor market.
According to sources in MC, some of the employees of the car repair shop were dumping cars in the market in an illegal manner and the authorities had been getting complaints in this regard on regular basis. Both of the drives were conducted in a peaceful manner and no untoward incident was reported.
According to information, the drive against illegal dumping of vehicles and their spare parts would continue in the coming days.
Recently, the authorities had seized a number of vehicles from Sector 38 based Motor Market and Sector 45 based Burail Market for parking and dumping vehicles on unauthorized places.
