CHANDIGARH: Border Security Force (BSF) assistant sub inspector (ASI) Kamaljit Singh was cre mated with state honours at his village Nangal Kalan on Sunday . He was killed in an unprovoked firing by the Pakistan army in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday . Kamaljit (50) though belonged to village Malkana in Bathinda but the family had shifted here ten years ago.
Mansa deputy commissioner Dharampal Gupta laid the wreath on the body on behalf of the state government and paid him tributes. Earlier, deputy commandant of the 200th battalion of
BSF at Rajouri, Ajay Kapila brought the body on late Saturday late evening at Nangal Kalan and paid tributes to Kamaljit Singh, sharing his sacrifice with the villagers. He is survived by his father Sarup Chand, wife Karamjit Kaur and daughter Ramandeep Kaur.
