Ateli gets halt for Daurai-Tanakpur Express

Chandigarh: Rail passengers in the Ateli region will soon benefit from improved connectivity after the Railways approved a stoppage for the Daurai-Tanakpur Express at Ateli railway station.The halt for Train No. 15091/15092 was approved following representations by Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma, who had raised the long-pending demand with Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.The North Western Railway has issued a notification sanctioning the stoppage on an experimental basis.The move is expected to benefit students, employees, traders and other commuters from Ateli and nearby areas by improving access to rail services.Expressing gratitude, Sharma thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the railway minister for approving the demand. She said the new halt would provide much-needed convenience to local residents and strengthen transport connectivity in the region.
