Amritpal aide held, sent to Assam

Amritsar: Another close aide of Amritpal Singh was arrested under the stringent National Security Act on Monday and sent to Dibrugarh in Assam. Although police remained tightlipped about his arrest, sources said Varinder Singh alias Fauji, an ex-servicemen and a resident of Jodh Singh Wala village near Patti in Tarn Taran district, was part of the private security set for the preacher.On March 25, police had arrested Sukhpreet Singh ‘ Sukh’ for February 23 siege of Ajnala police station.
