Amarinder confers state awards to 45 persons on Independence Day

GURDASPUR : To mark the 70th anniversary of India’s Independence Day , chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh conferred state awards to 45 persons including religious activists, police personnel and government officials for their services and contribution to the society during the state level

and second-in-command, Sukhvinder Singh Goraya. The parade included contingents from Punjab Police, PAP, Uttarakhand Police, Chandigarh Police, Punjab Home Guards, ex-Servicemen and boys and girls from NCC.

On the occasion children from different schools of Gurdaspur presented well Gatka and Yoga shows. They also presented a cultural programme of Giddha and Bhangra dances.

Amarinder also interacted with freedom fighters, Hukam Singh of Kahnuwan, Arjan Singh of Pandori Village, Vassan Singh of village Gauspura and Najar Singh of village Jindar.
