Ahead of Prez visit, Kangra admin bans paragliding

Kullu: The Kangra district administration has imposed a temporary ban on all aero sports and aerial activities in Palampur and Baijnath sub-divisions on April 30 in the wake of President Droupadi Murmu's scheduled visit to Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University in Palampur. Kangra deputy commissioner Hemraj Bairwa issued the order on Tuesday, prohibiting paragliding, drone flying, hot air ballooning and similar activities from 8 am to 1 pm on April 30. Officials said the move is aimed at ensuring tight security and maintaining law and order, as several ministers, senior officers and other dignitaries are expected to be present during the visit.
