Faridabad: Three juveniles, including two murder accused, escaped from a correction home here, police said on Friday.
All of them, hailing from Palwal in Haryana, still remain at large. Dinesh Yadav, superintendent of the correction home in New Industrial Township (NIT), Phase-5, has lodged a case of negligence against the sentry on duty Sanjeev Kumar following which he has been arrested.
Among the absconding juveniles, two were sent by a court here in cases of murder around eight months ago. The third one was brought in a case of snatching.
On Thursday night, all the juveniles were locked inside a room, as usual. Someone broke open the lock in the night. The three juveniles then opened the main door's lock and escaped, Yadav said.
The sentry was taken in custody with a case registered against him, said Naresh Kumar, in-charge, NIT-5 police station. PTI
