2nd in a week: Bathinda man dies of alleged drug overdose

Bathinda: Another man died of alleged drug overdose late on Monday, second in a week in Bathinda district. Jagjit Singh, 39, a resident of Paras Ram Nagar locality of Bathinda, was a daily wager and into drugs for quite some time, said local residents. Jaghjit Singh leaves behind an 18-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son.After the matter came to the fore on Tuesday, police arrested one Rohit Kumar of Bathinda, and registered a case under charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Bathinda Canal Colony Police Station SHO Harjot Singh said that after police got information about Singh's death, a case was registered and one Rohit Kumar has been arrested.
