2 suppliers arrested with 105g heroin

Chandigarh: The UT police arrested two men with heroin on Friday. Police claimed to have seized 105g heroin from Davinder Singh (28), a resident of Sangrur, and Gurcharan Singh alias Guri (28), a resident of Sector 56. A team of the operation cell were checking commuters in Manimajra when Davinder Singh tried to flee the spot. But, cops nabbed him and recovered 85g heroin from him.The accused revealed that he used to supply drugs in the Tricity. Another team of the crime branch arrested Gurcharan Singh from Sector 39 with 20g heroin.

UT police arrested a member of Thak Thak gang for allegedly stealing Rs 1.75 lakh in cash from a car driver at a parking area in Sector 8. In his complaint, Bhag Singh of Panchkula claimed that the crime occured when he had gone to a bank to deposit cash.

Taxi driver, meat shop owner held with heroin
A taxi driver and a meat shop owner have been arrested in Chandigarh after police recovered 34 grams of heroin from them. The two suspects, residents of Tarn Taran in Punjab, were spotted carrying bags by a patrolling police team. When they noticed the police, they attempted to flee but were apprehended. The police recovered 22.08 grams of heroin from one suspect and 12.44 grams from the other. The suspects allegedly obtained the drugs from Amritsar and Tarn Taran for sale in the Tricity area.
