Hisar: Acting against the illegal storage of mustard and gaur, the CM flying squad on Wednesday seized large quantities of these crops stocked in several warehouses of Adampur in Hisar district without proper documentation.
Three firms were found to have illegally stockpiled 1,025 quintals of mustard and 833 quintals of guar, and approximately Rs 1,29,000 in market fees and fines were imposed on the violators.
The operation was led by Sunaina, in charge of the CM flying squad, Hisar range. She was accompanied by sub-inspector Krishna Kumar, ASI Surendra, and mandi supervisors Sunil Kumar and Kuldeep of the Adampur Market Committee.
Sunaina informed that the team inspected the warehouse of Abhishek Agro Industries in Adampur, where a large stockpile of mustard was found. The firm owner failed to produce valid documents or market fee receipts related to the purchase of mustard, she said.
The team checked the stock against the ‘H' register and the market committee records. A market committee fee and fine of approximately Rs 78,798 was imposed on the firm for violating the prescribed procedures and illegally stocking 1,025 quintals of mustard.
The team also inspected the warehouse of Rajendra Kumar Shubham Kumar in Adampur, where guar was found stored illegally.
The firm owner could not produce valid documents or market fee receipts related to the purchase of guar, said Sunaina.
After comparing the stocks with the stock register entries and market committee records, the team imposed a market committee fee and fine of approximately Rs 28,789 was imposed on the firm for violating the prescribed procedures and illegally stocking 515 quintals of guar. A notice was also issued to the firm by the market committee.
Later, the team inspected the warehouse of Ghanshyam Das Dinesh Kumar in Adampur and discovered 318 quintals of gaur being stored without proper documentation.
The firm was fined and charged approximately Rs 21,465 in market committee fees for violating the norms. The market committee also issued a notice to the firm for illegally constructing the warehouse, she added.
