village under Kishore Nagar police limits in Angul district on October 9.
The duo was identified as Babuli alias
Prakash Behera
, 40, of
Kalapatanali
village under Thakuragarh police limits and Ranja alias
Nanda Kishore Sethi
, 30, of Gamharimaliha of Angul district. The police also seized a motor bike and weapon from their possession.
On Tuesday, the police had found bodies of
Biranchi Nayak
, his wife Tarini and their son Naba at three different places with their throats slit. While Tarini’s body was found near the house, bodies of Biranchi and his son were spotted at two different places away from their houses.

Brijesh Kumar Ray
said they formed a team including additional SP and started investigation into the matter. “We got some valid clues about the case during investigation process which helped us to crack the case,” he added.
He said
Nanda Kishore and his brother-in-law Babuli are the accused in this case. “We seized the weapons including ‘Katuri’ and the blood stained clothes of the duo. During the interrogation, the accused confessed that they had entered the house to loot money available with the deceased. They committed the crime while executing their plan,” he added.
Ray said the accused killed Biranchi near his village. Then they killed his wife at home. Later they took the son outside the home and killed him, he added.
