"The Maoists had dumped the explosives in the forest for use in future offensives. Security personnel have retrieved the explosives and we have intensified combing operations in and around Tekguda forests," said Kalimela police station IIC Anirudh Routray.
According to the police officer, while returning from the spot, the same team of security personnel recovered at least five tiffin bombs from Sigabaram forests, adjoining Tekguda forests.
In the past few weeks, in five separate raids conducted on Maoists hideouts, security men have recovered huge quantities of Naxal explosives, arms and medicines in Malkangiri.
