BHUBANESWAR: A fresh low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to bring widespread rainfall in some areas till Friday, an IMD report said on Tuesday.
The Met department issued orange and yellow warnings of heavy to very heavy rainfall in some districts — spread over coastal and interior Odisha — during the next two days.
Forecast of heavy rain comes in the backdrop of light to moderate showers during Ganesh Chaturthi on Tuesday.

Chatrapur received the highest 34.4 mm rainfall during the day, the IMD’s rainfall report stated. The rain is also likely to dampen the mood of Nuakhai festivities in western Odisha. tnn
