Bhubaneswar: I will open my mouth at the right time, says Archana Nag

BHUBANESWAR: Archana Nag, who allegedly extorted crores of rupees from many influential people, including politicians of different parties, by honey-trapping them, said on Wednesday that she would speak at the right time.
“Wait till the completion of the police investigation. Stop spreading and writing lies about me. I will open my mouth at the right time,” Archana, 26, said.
Archana, who has been in judicial custody since her arrest on October 6 for allegedly running the high-profile sextortion racket, was produced before the court of the sub-judicial magistrate (SDJM) in connection with the hearing of a custodial remand plea.
Though the Khandagiri police arrested Archana for allegedly forcing a girl into prostitution, the Nayapalli police has sought her custodial remand for five days in connection with another case registered against her on the complaint of film producer Akshaya Parija recently. Archana’s lawyer Debasis Mohapatra said he has applied for her bail in connection with the Nayapalli case.
The couple’s arrest created a flutter in political circle after their photographs with several politicians started doing the rounds. BJP and Congress have been demanding a CBI and court-monitored SIT probe, respectively.
