CBI probes Ganjam rape

BERHAMPUR: The Crime Branch (CB) on Sunday began investigation into the alleged gang rape of a 16-year-old for 10 days in a jungle.
A four-member team of the CB discussed with the survivor and other family members at Jharabada, a hilltop village in Ankuli panchayat, where her family resides.
Earlier, local police led by sub-divisional police officer, Chikiti, P K Jena were investigating the matter.A 21-year-old man, Kamal Lochan Pradhan, has been arrested by local police in connection with the incident. The survivor along with her father lodged an FIR against five persons alleging that they raped her after kidnapping her from the house on March 9.
