Call for IAS coaching centre for minorities at Ravenshaw

Bhubaneswar: The Central Waqf Council (

CWC

) is planning to open a free coaching centre at

Ravenshaw University

for minority students to prepare them for exams like the UPSC, state administrative and judicial services.A three-member delegation, currently on a tour of Odisha, held a discussion in this regard with the university administration. “If everything goes well, we expect the coaching centre, a first of its kind in the state, to start in three months,” said Janab Nausad, a member of the CWC and one of delegates. Wasim Rahat Ali Khan and Munawari Begum accompanied Nausad. Nausad said such coaching centre for benefits of Muslim students, have been opened at Aligarh and Jamia Millia universities.

University registrar Bhakta Charan Pradhan said they would take a final decision after a thorough discussion with the VC. tnn
