"We don't know the cause of his frustration. He is a bachelor and therefore didn't have any marital problem. His relation with our parents, brothers and sister is also perfect. He is a very nice human being," Anjan's elder brother, Ashok Kumar Swain, said. "He never complained of any problem related to his job. I cannot understand why he tried to kill himself," he added.
Anjan was posted as radio operator with BSF's 120 Battalion in Mizoram. He had joined BSF some eight years ago and served at different places before being posted in Mizoram nearly two years ago.
"Anjan is recuperating slowly and only he can clear the air once he gets well," Ashok said.
"We are also waiting for Anjan to recover so that we can proceed with the inquiry," inspector-in-charge (Singhadwar police station) Arun Kumar Dalei said.
