Bhubaneswar: A group of candidates for librarian posts has sought chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s intervention for early commencement of their application process under Odisha Staff Selection Commission Specialist (OSSC) CGL 2025 recruitment.
In a letter addressed to the chief minister on Sunday, candidates highlighted that though an indicative advertisement dated Dec 30, 2025, notified 31 librarian posts, the detailed notification and application process are yet to begin. There are 30 positions for librarian-in-DIET/BIET under the directorate of technical education and SCERT, and a post for librarian under the same authority. The aspirants expressed concern over the delay, stating many eligible candidates are awaiting release of detailed advertisement to apply and begin preparations.
“The delay is creating uncertainty,” the letter stated, adding that an early rollout would provide clarity and relief to deserving applicants. The candidates have requested the authorities to expedite issuance of detailed notification and ensure the timely commencement of the recruitment process.tnn
