Bhubaneswar: Higher education department has begun the admission process for Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP). Applications are open on SAMS portal until June 10.
The AEDP is intended to combine classroom learning with practical industry exposure, as National Education Policy (NEP) emphasises skill development and improving employability.
For 2026-27, the AEDP is available in 11 subjects: commerce, home science, economics, history, English, zoology, mathematics, library science, chemistry, geology and botany.
The department said that students will undertake a one-year apprenticeship with stipend in the third year of the course under the programme.
