20 people injured in accident

Rourkela: At least 20 passengers were injured, some of them critically, after a private bus and a truck collided head-on near Chandiposh under Bonai sub-division of Sundargarh district on Tuesday night. The bus was travelling from Rourkela to Jajpur. On receiving information, Chandiposh police rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation, which was underway when last reports came in. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police said personnel from Chandiposh police station are on the spot and an inquiry into the cause of the accident has been initiated.
