Bhopal: Two bike-borne accused allegedly kicked a bike parked beside a road in Govindpura locality due to which it fell on the road late on Tuesday night. When the bike owner and his nephew, who were relieving themselves beside the bike, raised an objection, the accused attacked one of them with a sword and they fled after robbing his smartphone. The victim sustained a severe cut in his hand and approached Govindpura police station after treatment to lodge a complaint.
Govindpura police registered a case on charges of armed loot against unidentified accused and cops were searching for them.
SHO Govindpura Lokendra Singh Thakur said that the complainant Arun Kumar Ahirwar, 23, a resident of Khajuri Kalan in Awadhpuri, runs a car washing workshop. On Tuesday night, he was on his way back home with his nephew Manish Chaudhary when they took a halt near Awadhpuri trisection when the two bike-borne accused kicked their bike. When Arun raised an objection, the accused took out a sword and attacked him leasving him bleeding profusely.
Both Arun and Manish were terrified. The accused took out Arun’s mobile phone from his pocket and both fled the spot on their bike.
SHO Thakur said that Manish rushed Arun to a hospital for treatment and then they approached Govindpura police to lodge a complaint. Acting on Arun’s complaint, police registered a case against the accused and search was on to nab them.
